Nurse to Nursery is for Christian couples preparing to welcome a child. We walk with you from the first hopes of a family, through pregnancy and birth, to the first forty days at home and on to the preschool years.
Why we started
[Tell your story here: who you are, why you started Nurse to Nursery, and your own family’s journey.]
What we believe
We write from within the historic Christian faith, the faith of the Creeds, shared by Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican Christians. Where our traditions agree, we speak with one voice. Where their practices differ, as with the timing of baptism or the blessing of a mother after childbirth, we explain each one side by side in an “In your tradition” note, and encourage you to follow your own parish and priest.
We believe every child is a gift from God, that marriage is the foundation of family life, and that the home is a “domestic church” where children first learn to pray.
How we write about health
Pregnancy and newborn care are medical subjects, and we take that seriously.
- Health articles are reviewed by [Name, credentials, e.g. RN, IBCLC, CNM] before they are published, and the reviewer and date are shown at the top of each article.
- We base our guidance on current recommendations from bodies such as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- Nothing on this site replaces the advice of your own doctor or midwife. See our medical disclaimer.
How we make money
Nurse to Nursery is free to read. We earn a small commission when you buy through some of our product links, at no extra cost to you. This never decides what we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.
